Horseman's Camp$80/day or $375 for a 5 day camp week.
Running from am till 4 PM This camp is for any and all that want to learn more than riding! There will be daily activities that I will post as soon as they become available. Horseman camps will be held at Old Spot Farm, this location is weather dependent and schedule will be adjusted to accommodate weather. Activities may include. Anatomy, muscles, and massage Bathing, braiding and clipping horses Farrier seminar-basics of hoof care, shoeing, and doctoring common problems disciplines-the differences, what every rider should know about all of the disciplines Tack parts and cleaning lunging, showmanship, groundwork Frequently asked questions
Question: Other than riding what other activities will campers be doing?Grooming tools and procedures Tack parts and care Anatomy and massage/stretching basics Showmanship and ground manners Farrier care basics Lunging Horse care (Feeding, stall cleaning, veterinary basics, etc.) Braiding, clipping, banding Bathing Movies Painting Question: What will he/she need to bring with them? Horseman's Mini SessionsThese are run throughout the year prices, times, and days vary. Please check the Facebook page for up to date schedule.
Quick sessions that teach you about the non riding aspects of horsemanship. Want to learn about anatomy of the horse? Massage? Farrier care? braiding, wrapping, first aid, lunging, etc??? This is your way to do that. We also do Mini Group fitness sessions, geared towards us riding individuals. Laughing, enjoying each others company, and trying our best to be the best riders for our horses! Typical Schedule (2-3 hours) 1-2 hours of classroom or hands on learning 30-60 minutes of fitness activity (yoga or strength) Show Camp Days2 day camps prior to a show, $100 per session. Times and locations Vary.
This camp is limited to those students that are students planning to attend the shows following the camp. Being prepared and ready is always important, and this makes the show weekend much more enjoyable. Location will move around according to packing and where horses and show dates are. This camp will involve: daily lessons before the show all of your show prep done!
